Self-Service Questions

How do I know which machine to use and how to use it?

Our laundry is fully attended, someone is always available to provide assistance. You are free to use any available machine, but please ask about the right machine size for your needs if you are not sure.

How many machines do you have?

We have 8-80lb washers, 11-60lb, 9-45lb, 8-30lb, and 4-18lb washers.

What does 18, 30, 45, 60 and 80 pound machine mean?

Each 10-12 pounds equals approximately one standard load of laundry. Our smallest, 18 lb. machines equal 1 load while our 45 lb. machines can handle approximately 4 loads of laundry at one time.

What are the benefits of so many machine size options?

Different size options provide you the ability to sort your colors into our smaller machines without adding unnecessary time and cost. Having larger machines means you can wash more loads at one time, saving you time and money. You can complete a larger amount of laundry in a couple hours compared to your entire day off.

40 and 60 pound machines can clean and sanitize large bedding like blankets, comforters, and duvets.

What's the cost of washing and drying my clothing?

The cost depends on how much laundry you have. Also, just as utility costs fluctuate so does the cost of our machines. You can expect to spend approximately $5 - $12 per wash cycle and $4 - $6 per dryer.

If I return after 9pm, when the laundromat closes, will someone be there to let me in?

No, our laundromat operates with an automatic timer on our front door that is security monitored. We open at 8:00am (7:00am weekends) and close exactly at 9pm seven days a week. We ask that all final washes begin by 7:30 p.m. After 8:00 p.m., customers should remain on-site until their laundry is complete.

If I'm still inside when the automatic door locks, will I be locked in?

No, there is a motion sensor on the doors which will open automatically when you approach. Make sure you have all your laundry and personal belongings before you exit to avoid getting locked out. You may place your items close to the door and move them out on the sidewalk. The automatic door can be held open momentarily but it should not be propped open or blocked as this can damage the door's automatic function.
